The Superhero of Our Lives

The world need a new superhero.  A hero that is kind and gentle and makes better people of us all.  She appears as an older woman, with a touch of elegance, but not at all pretentious.  Her blue hair is carefully coiffed, she is well put together and spry.  She never runs or flies to danger, but keeps an even pace going from one person to another offering kindness.

Heaven can’t help the one who brings danger to her!  My superhero’s eyes will look through to the soul of the bully who will be admonished to use the power they have for good and to help others.  She will see through to the heart of the rude and offensive, teach them manners, and deliver an admonishment to let their good heart show.  A purse snatchers doesn’t have a chance.  She will hang on to that purse and beat him with it, admonishing that such a fine young person such as themselves, should be getting an education, help little old ladies, and take care of those weaker, smaller.

My superhero will encourage the poor of spirit, to see the beauty of the world, and the love that surrounds them and never give up.  The hurt and fearful she will encourage to have faith in themselves and courage.  The downtrodden she will encourage to keep trying and never give up.

I will call my superhero Grandma.  Grandma’s love is strong and fierce, her eyes see into your soul and heart, and she makes all around her better people.
