Reality

Imagine if we were equal,

No educational advantage,

All equally bright,

Talent across the board.

Imagined no advantage of position,

None with higher status,

None with more money,

All equally attractive.

Imagine all things equal,

Would we all be successful,

Would we all be prosperous,

Could we all be happy.

But imagination is unreal

How can we be just,

Compassionate and loving,

When things are  uneven.

  1. If wishes were horses
    It would have been
    A perfect world
    There would have been
    No high walls or gates
All would see eye to eye
    But no
    The law of variety rules
    Inequality reigns
    But it is still beautiful
    Love and compassion
    Keep the globe trotting

  2. April, sorry but I deleted your last comment on my Shine on post by mistake (silly keyboard shortcuts). But thanks for the compliment, The story didn’t actually end but the ride was actually a relief to get off from this end believe me 🙂
